In ancient Europe the tribal Celts held the plants and animals in high regard. Among them were Ravens. Ravens were known for their ability to carry messages from the gods to the mortals, and could also see into the future. Ravens symbolized darkness, and personified magical mysteries. Many Celtic gods were assisted by Raven. On particular god, Lludd, the protector of artisans, had Two Ravens who assisted him in his duties.
I have chosen to depict the Two Ravens of Lludd, facing one another, in a display of magical power. Red eyes blazing, ready for anything.
